February 6th marks an important and auspicious day on the muaythai calendar when the international muaythai community pays homage to Prachao Sua, or Tiger King.
As every year, IFMA joins in the celebrations in cooperation with the Royal Thai Government and the 137 IFMA member federations and a special celebration was held this year chaired by the Chair of the Sports Commission of the House of Representatives, Mr Boonlue Prasertsopha.
As for the last 3 years, IFMA simultaneously held its world Executive Committee meeting in the mother land of the sport, so that the leaders of the IFMA family can travel to Thailand to join the celebrations, and IFMA President Dr. Sakchye Tapsuwan addressed the IFMA family, showing his appreciation as a Thai for the work its members do in the protection and promotion of the ancient traditions and values around the world.
